I just bought a CG BA TAC and i already know i didn't like the handles, but it was so cheap! so how much will it cost to put black micrata on it. and can someone just post some pics of there favorite combo with a black blade.
 
Wow, thats a steal!

If the handles are micarta, you could consider using a die / stain to get them the colour you like.
 
well its a red/black so its dark so will that matter.

oh and i got a Buy Brown sheath with it!!!

EDIT: its G10, and i like the feel of micrata....

I must have missed that combo with G-10:confused:

Has the knife arrived yet?

Most red/black g-10 I have seen did show the red. The red/black micarta looked almost black with very little red, thats's why I liked the combo in micarta. But I don't like much color in my slabs unless its snakeskin.

I'm with you on the micarta feeling much better.
The shop could take a while... not sure about price. Call next week after the ganza dust has settled.
Ban could also do it.

You can contact Busse Combat to see if they will do a handle swap for ya... I know others have had it done by the Custom Shop there. :thumbup: ;)
 
i am just wondering how much that would cost. I have no money now...:o:(
so i need to know how much i need to borrow form my mum...

Since the steel won't be changed, maybe only the slab's may not be covered.

I dought you could break them unless you try, but call the shop next week about the warranty.

Well, someone will come along before then that knows for sure.


Edit- are you sure they are g-10?
 
I always wondered this to i satined my GW. will that affect the warrenty.

Why wont they just wright the damn warrenty down!!!

to much of a hastle... it would be hard to find someone who wanted a red/black G10 who has a black micrata...


EDIT: the guy told me how much these things were when they came out and i got it plus the sheath for under how much the knife was origonaly!!!

Because there are too many variables.

Did you strip the knife?

If yes how did you do it?

With a belt sander? Maybe you voided the warranty because you might have messed up the heat treat. If you just used paint striper then you don’t have a problem.

If all you did was remove the slabs then you void the warranty on the slabs staying on the knife.

It is pretty simple; Busse warranties their work not yours or anyone else’s.:thumbup:

it is brand new :D

I am in mmonroe quite a ways away from spokane...

the GW is under contral i think it will be ok :)
