If some unintentional evil happens and my Original line Swamp Rat Knife handle is destroyed, is it possible to get it rehandled with Res-C? If not, is it possible to send it to The swamp for a custom handle of some other material?

Here is the Story on RES C from the Scrap Yard site.

Resiprene C Handle

(Think of it as an all-terrain truck tire with better chemical resistance)

Resiprene C was made famous as a handle material when it was used on the Busse Combat Basics. Respirene C, these handles have all the advantages of rubber handles without any of the disadvantages. They are comfortable, shock absorbing, slip resistant when wet, and provide insulation from the cold. Unlike Kraton, Resiprene C is a Non-hygroscopic material which means that it will neither "take on" or "emit" fluids. This quality not only gives them unparalleled durability but makes them extremely easy to keep clean as dirt will simply not stick to them. It is impervious to salt water, petroleum based chemicals and is much more resistant to higher and colder temps than is Kraton. Resiprene C is likewise impervious to the powerful insect repellant, DEET. It is so amazingly tough and durable that Busse stands as the only company to have ever put a Lifetime Guarantee on a rubber handle. All Scrap Yard handles are fully textured to supply a slip-resistant purchase in any grip configuration. So, whether you hold the blade in a saber grip, reverse grip, upside down grip, side grip, or whatever which way you are required to hold it for your particular application, you will be assured of having a secure hold.

Thanks from me. I liked the 511, and now i like it more.
Still, my favorite is RMD

Yes, Res C is Good and awesome. But The swamp has not used it in some time. will a damaged handle be replaced? I probably should take this question straight to Eric in the swamp.

I'm positive they will be able to replace the handle, but, the Swamp doesn't offer custom work. It's best to just email Eric.

Just curious here on the Resiprene C handle since as stated, it is chemical resistant. Would this also be impervious to paint stripping chemicals such as from JASCO and Klean-Strip? Please advise and thanks for your consideration!

Yes, it is resistant to chemical strippers ( I've gotten it on several of mine with no effect what so ever)

Res-c is pretty solid! I like it.
I think if you damaged your RMD Handle they could put new ones on there but as for it being a warranty thing I don't know. Contact Swamp Rat to fing out.

So did anyone find out if they can put a new Res-c handle on it if the original Res-c got damaged? I think SYKCO does but don't about something like a Battle Rat from the swamp?

I'm almost positive they can put a new handle on it since at least one person had a b11 rehandled with the b10 res-c because they like the size better. It may not be exactly like the original of some of the older models, but pretty sure they would take care of you.

Yes, yes they can. Just a little while ago, some one sent in his knife to get the slightly bigger new version handle to replace the old B11 (original with the thumb grooves) replaced.
