Dividends just came in, and I ended up with a ton mostly from gift shopping last November and December. Since there's an REI garage sale this weekend I might just blow the whole wad. Life is good.

got mine too- last year I waited until July and cashed it out- this year there's a couple of things I'll pick up

I always miss the garage sale, every single time. I've scored some great deals on used/returned gear there, though, and my wife generates plenty of points . . . by buying everything at full price. Agh.

Blew the whole wad today. I blew 1/3 and my son 2/3. He picked up stuff he'd never have bought himself.

closest REI store for me is over 100 miles away. I only get there a few times a year, when I am in the area anyway. I always miss the Garage sale. :o
Won't take me long to spend my modest amount by mail order though, I need some camp gear.

Got our dividends today!! Must not have spent too much as our dividends are not a lot!! Guess I got all I need then!!! :D John:thumbup:

Members 20% off started today. I ordered the new MSR Guardian filter/purifier.

Different names for the same gimmick. 10-17 March was 20% off sale too. Before that was $20 off card for spending $100 which could be used 10-17 March. You can get really good deals at REI if you time it right. The 16 March - 4 April member sale is just 20% off one full priced item and 20% off one Outlet item. You can easily save over 50% at the REI Outlet now. You've got to sort through the gimmicks used to get you to buy in order for you to gain the most advantageous deal. Just this morning I bought a pair of trail pants for less than 55% of the regular retail price.

Between my wife's and mine I don't think well be able to even buy a pair of socks :D At some point yea got the gear yea want or need, only replace things when worn out, and sometimes there's better options.....might hit the sale though if I have time...

Got my dividend and coupon. Headed there to get survival gear. I also try to get some freeze dried foods since I already have a bunch of camping gear.

I ended spending some of mine, three pairs of Darn Tough socks and a new pair of Kahtoola Microspikes- my old ones are three years old with ~ 1500 miles, still going strong, but it's just a matter of time before they go (how much time????)- the new spikes sport a revised design while shedding a few ounces too

unless something grabs my eye, will probably take the remainder in cash July 1

If you're a member of Costco, they have Mountain House freeze dried meals sometimes.
