He may thumb his nose at the laws of man, but even He is not immune to the laws of nature :D

Ever just ahhh....I can get away with that , I'll compensate by doing .....blah blah .

Thermal stress will win every time. Oh well at least the tip will make a nice little knife.

Personally, Mark, I'd finish the blade and sharpen those two little points. Then I'd put a big curved handle on it and sell it as the "lost sword of the mighty Elven warrior ClogMogWoo from the land of Boo." Build up a sillyass fantasy story about it and advertise on an inside cover in Blade. ;) ;)

At least, that's what came to mind..... :D

I was going to say it's the next star wars blade.. finish the thing...
at the least it will make the ugly knife finals

tink tink tink rrrrrooorch clunk haha :)

Ouch! Was that a result of your "I'll never quench in oil again" proclamation??? You're right though, the tip is a perfectly shaped little knife!

For what it's worth my old man always told me when you start something finish it, it's how you practice and get better and sometimes along the way you even learn something from your mistakes.

Master Williams, I like it, it's the new sabertooth serrations.

It's a real shame . I knew I was screwing up before I did it.

Me.... "Oh it'll work ...Just do two quick cycles and quench it. You'll be lucky"

It's funny My wife was standing behind me asking "How long you going to hold it in the quench?"

I turned to look at her and ...tink...tink.

You know what... I dont even care. I'm so friggin happy. At least it didnt have a name on it :) Then I'd be pissed.

Looks like an ideal candate for the next star trek klingon ultra death knife.

Tink, Tink, crap!

Speachless.........Been there.
Lot of steel to get that little necker!...
Thought that is what tongs were for.

I see Mass'a Williams has not quite perfected the water quench as he had thought.... :p :D :p

Sucks the big one... been there and done that way more times that I'd like to remember.... probably about 50 or so.

Glad you're initiated now ;)

I think it was in Master's plan to show us what could go wrong so we could follow the way.

Master did you add the essense of Dawn to the mix?
