Reinventing the Wheel !

Fascinating!
Someones EDC from way past! I wonder how well that held edge? :D

You should see a comparison of ancient roman tools to the modern counterparts, scissors, surgical tools like scalpels & retractors, etc. Not a whole lot of difference.

I saw that article, too. There are some pretty funny comments at the bottom of the article. Amazing how clever the Romans were. There is even a company selling reproductions of the Cambridge version. Link

The main difference is brass instead of silver for the handle and tools.

It is good to know that the ancients had dedicated EDC tools. That looks like the equivalent of what we call the Hobo pattern.

Thanks for the link!

PS -Ill bet they stole it from the greeks -just saying:D

Fascinating! Thanks for the link! Those wacky Romans never cease to amaze me...

And all this time, here's what I thought the 'Roman Army Knife' looked like

Has all the functions and features a Legionnaire needs: Kills Celts, Parthians, Greeks, Visigoths, and Carthaginians.

Cool. I think almost no idea nowadays is completely original. If someone has an idea, somebody somewhere (somewhen) has thought about it or is thinking about it as well. The key is to be the first to patent it and bring it to market.
