This morning started with church, followed by a whirlwind trip to JoAnn Fabrics, Michael's, Walmart, and Ollie's. When we got home, I reached in my pocket (as I am want to do), and noticed that my Fallkniven U2 was gone. Gone, I said. Gone.
I check all over the car seat because that's my #1 place to lose pocket stuff. Nothing.
Then, my wife convinced me to start calling all the stores. Truly, I would doubt that lost knife would make it back home if dropped in a Walmart, but I started there because I had sat down several times to try on shoes.
We called all the stores. Nothing. We even went to Walmart to retrace my steps. That was actually kind of fun. The kids and I retraced our conversations, too. LOL
Well, that little knife still didn't turn up. So, my wife says, "You should check my car." What? Now, I had sat in it for 10 minutes taking it for a test drive to make sure the new fuel filter was working fine. But I was in and out so fast that I'd almost forgotten about it already.
And there it was, snuggled up so nicely next to the seat belt receptacle. Bad little, U2!
My wife just smiled and said, "I prayed that you'd find it." It was lost and now is found.
By the way, I've misplaced this knife more than any other. I think because it's so light.
