I have to consolidate a lot of things and knives is one of them.

In going through my knives, I came upon a REKAT Carnivore that is unused. It is also pretty rare from what I remember as it was built with Green G-10 handles.

I searched around, but came up pretty empty in regards to pricing on the Green G-10 model.

I figure I will let the forum decide how much it is worth. As I want to be fair to both the buyer and myself. I will be putting up this and a bunch of other knives up for sale.

Any thoughts?

I have had quite a few Carnivores but I have never had a green g-10 one. I sold a Large all black one for about $115. Problem is there doesn't seem to be a large market for R.E.K.A.T unless it is from the Hobbit series or a Sifu.

From what I remember, it was a special run for these forums (I think). Whether my memory is correct or not is a different story.:(

It was for Sifus.

(I own 2 of them)

I vaguely remember one selling on the forums around 2000 for about 250.00. Another sold on fleaby for about 300.00 or so around the same time. Hope this helps.

I just purchased a like new large and a small REKAT Carnivore with green G-10 without the tubes or paper work for $ 180 and $ 155 respectively.

These were hard to find and they rarely come up for sale. I would place the NIB values at between $ 125 and $ 175 for the small and $ 165 to $ 200 for the large depending on how much some one wants one.

I paid too much but I wanted them. They are superb quality and would sell for around the same price if they were produced today (wish some one would).

They both have exceptional feel and balance and are razor sharp.

i would put the value at $150 to $200, maybe a tad more, the only rekats i have seen with much collector interest was the sifus, but i would put the carny's at a close second i suppose, worth more than any of the other models.

IIRC green G10 was just another option, i dont think its any special run or anything, ya didnt see many green G10's FWIW but i have seen a few here and there thru the yrs.

one thing to remeber about rekats is that if ya have lock probs they arent around to fix it anymore, i suppose ya could find someone to adjust it for ya though, and the carny's didnt seem to have the horrible probs the sifus did mostly i would say due to the shorter blade not being so hard on the lock. and never ever inertia open a rolling lock, it is very hard on 'em,

i used to have a custom crawford carny but swapped it off yrs ago, a pretty cool design imho.

i also had one of the blade forum sifu's, now that thing had a lotta lock probs lol, it went back/forth to rekat a couple of times and i really babied it.

looks yellow to me lol...............

but, FWIW, the carny in the pic above has green G10 unless i am color blind & i dont think i am........am i lol?

I don't know what color Michaels knives are, but the Rekat is most assuredly Green.
