reading old posts, tons of people praised REKAT fang back in 1999, today, is that knife still available anywhere? if so, do you have an URL to someone selling it? or is there any other neck knives like that available nowadays? i figure i gotta give it a try, since so many people love it!

thanks, looking around it seems several companies still have it, don't know what all the talk about they stop selling it was all about back in '99 ? i figure it must still be a great neck knife and it's even cheaper now :-)

looking at 1stop now, they got 2 versions of the rekat fang, one normal and one "combo edge" what's that?
 
I have a fang and a utility neck knife. I find the utility much better for everyday use. They are both awesome neck knives from REKAT. Definately a shame that they have been discontinued. I would recommend picking up a couple as spares also.

thanks for the help guys. i need to decide on fang, bearclaw or griffe... no daily use, just last resort self-defense is what i have in mind.

If it's a choice between the Bear Claw and the Fang, go for the Fang, it's easier to carry, better steel, better sheath and more versatile. I don't have a La Griffe, but do have both of the others and the Fang wins hands down ,IMHO.
