1095 or ATS-34 steel?...you can tell by seeing if the hilt allows a magnet to stick...if it does, then its 1095...if it doesn't (then hilt is ? titanium) and then the steel is ATS-34.

It is ATS-34.
some were supposed to be made in D2, I imagine those were magnetic guards?
