Which would you choose for daily carry and utility and why?

Right now I'm leaning towards the mini-talon because of the blade grind and because of the talonite. I don't own any talonite blades and I want to see what all the fuss is about

On the other hand, the Pikuni is more aesthetically pleasing to me and has a much more versatile sheath.

I wouldn't wear the mini-talon around my neck so will the sheath attach to a tek-lok or would I have to get a custom sheath?

Thanks in advance, I hope to hear from owners of either one.

Two differant knives, two differant purposes. The Camillus Mini Talon is a neck knife first and foremost. The Pikuni is a medium-small utility fixed blade. I think they are better complementing each other instead of an either / or.

I have a Pikuni and I carry it almot every day. I love the design. Nice alternative to carrying a folder.

I don't have a mini-talon (yet) but I would think it wouldn't be as good at everyday ise as the Pikuni. The talonite would make for a great neck knife though, especially in the summer.

Don't have any experience with the mini-talon but the Pikuni is one heckuva fine working blade. Considering the blade steel, quality of design/construction and the real sweet concealex sheath I think it is a great value.

Considering the price, I think the Pukini is better. Not considering the price, they are about the same, but with different uses. The Mini-talon is a little neck knife, and the Pukini a more robust utility knife. If I were you, I'd get the Pukini. Firstly, it is more versatile, I believe, and could probably be a pretty good skinner. Plus, it is still small enough for easy concealed carry.

But, that's just me. A pukini in talonite would be great though, as I think talonite is a better blade material, but not by much. But for the money, definitely go with the Pukini. That's my 2 cents.

I had the opportunity to handle a Mini-Talon a couple weeks ago. (Muzzleup's) Haven't ever handled a Pikuni, tho it is on my wish-list, somewhere down there. Don't aspire to the Mini-Talon because of price.

I've seldom been so impressed with a knife as I was with the mini-Talon. Yes it is small. But it obviously is a fine knife in its own right. Even for cheapskate me, I thought I could plainly see the value in the knife, and wasn't even cutting with it.

I know Muzzleup has the Fallkniven WM-1 also, and likes it, but carries the mini-Talon all the time. Guess he should be writing this. Sorry.
