Good Evening, It is I... me.

So I bought the new Tactical Knives magazine and was all excited to see that REKAT's Sifu was written up. All praise and kudos, naturally.
Note to self: Find out what the heck "kudos" means, Also, stop using it; you sound like a yuppie!
ANYways, I was kinda expecting that BFC would be mentioned, perhaps even the ferret/psycholady deliverer himself, Jim March, but alas, no.
Note to self: The word "alas" is antiquated and prissy; don't use it again!
I just figured that since the blade was concepted... huh huh...(sorry) here, that it would've been an interesting anecdote to the story of the Sifu.

I was thinking of writing to Tactical Knives to mention the fact that the Sifu was the first (to my knowledge) knife developed from a web based community, but since my writings usually come off as being written by a chimp on crack, I thought someone else would be able to put the thought into a coherant (spelled wrong, my ISP's fault, really!) letter.

If not, oh well. Still pretty cool to've seen it on a glossy woodpulp product!

Off to invent a personal tape recorder thingamabob to alleviate the need for those annoying "Note to Self" messages,
I remain,
VG

PS - Note to Self: Stop saying "Note to Self"!!!
PSS - You spelled "KNIVES" wrong in the title of this post you dolt!!!!!!

I wrote most of that at work after drinking massive amounts of coffee. I needed to look busy and that dribbled out of my head. There's also a whole bunch of Optical Illusions.
The Deadly and Scary Leatherman Micra Website.
Be warned that the tactics used at that last site are not for the faint of heart!

Saw your Micra page... noticed you had one good handgun displayed... (P-7)... 8-)

Will forgive you for the Glunk and the BHP. The SIG is also worthy.....

Yea, I noted the conspicious absence of BF in that article, especially given the evolution of the sifu here...

Bennett - I have to kinda/sorta agree with you about the Glock. The thing is, I got it because at the time, it was the only hi-capacity .45 that I'd seen. (The Para-Ord came out later)
The Glock held 13+1 rounds of .45, doesn't jam, so I figured I wouldn't regret buying it. The Hi Power works fine, albeit the 9mm round is nothing to scream about.
There was no rhyme or reason as to the pistols I placed next to the DEADLY LEATHERMAN MICRA other than the fact that they were the first ones I was able to get to in that particular gunsafe.

KillerMan - Well, okay, I admit that at times, chimps on crack are capable of truly momentous literary achievements, but for the most part, they're downright bizaar! Especially when they start ranting about the screaming banannas (oh, how I hate that word! Never know how many b's) and how they are opposed to soaking them in lava with cornflakes.
I think I'll stop now.

I love my Sifu and won't get rid of it for anything....except maybe a few hundred grand or something...

VG and Bennett,

Every handgun on that page is great. The BHP is still the best 9mm there is and there is no bad Glock. Nothing better than a custom 1911 though.

VG,
There does seem to be a reluctance to mentioning the dreaded "new media" in the knife rags. About 6 months back I e-mailed Blade Mag and suggested an article on how the "Mega Folder" and the WWIII were being developed over the internet, the response was, something like, yeah were workin' on it. To date I feel as though they have pretty much tried to ignore the fact that we are "out there".

I wouldn't worry about it too much, guys - the magazines are very aware of us and know who we are. I'm sure that one of these days we'll be mentioned somewhere, but in the mean time, we're doing just fine.

BTW, we were mentioned in Ebay Magazine a few months back as the place to go for knife information...

I think a Kudos is a snack bar. I eat them when hiking HAHA. In the final analysis.... mental not stop saying final analysis cause I never finish analyzing anything. HAHA

The June, 2000 issue of COMBAT HANDGUNS also features an article on the SIFU by Steven Dick . No mention of BF in that article either. The article states only:
For some time, a few of us working around the cutlery industry have been pushing for a better selection of ultra large folders. As there was already a variety of 3 1/2-inch blade lockbacks available, why not buck the trend and introduce something in the over 4-inch range? All of which brings us to Round Eye Knife and Tool's new Rolling Lock SIFU, which features a 5 1/4-inch clip point, reverse curve blade of ATS-34 stainless.
