Related blades- post pix!

So when I say "related" blades, I'm thinking of a manufacturer with a similar set of knives, or a set from a maker or a maker/manufacturer collaboration set etc etc etc.

I discover I tend to buy this way, so I thought I'd start a gallery with my most recently acquired family as an example. I got a mini tanto from Pohan Leu earlier in the year and decided I wanted a larger blade that looked the same. The "big brother" arrived last week.

Post up your blade families! I'll post up the rest of mine throughout the thread...

Really??? No one has photos of any of their knife families??? C'mon everyone, I want to see what you got!
Here's two more of mine...

CRKT Hissatsu Folder and Hissatsu 2 (Heiho) little brother

ZT 0560 and it's cousin the Kershaw Cryo (yes, unfortunately the blade coating wears off rather easily)

I only have a few more sets, so please post some of yours!!!

Okay, since no one else is posting, I'll post something slightly different... These aren't related at all, other than the approximate size, and some coloration... more of a study in contrast.

First is a Phil LeTourneau Wharncliff, double ground, with smooth orange G10 scales. The shape of the handle is super ergo and the shape of the scales is super sexy... An awesome do-anything blade.

The other is a Snody Compensator, chisel ground with reverse microbevel, one of his "shanks" i.e. unfinished "2nds" and an unusual one at that- the upper swedge is bead blasted, the rest of the blade is satin finished. I finished off the handle with a Japanese-inspired epoxy-soaked paracord wrap in black and orange- 2 layers of "empty" orange paracord housing and then the black "empty" paracord housing criss-cross wrapped on top. The grip is phenomenal. Super sharp

Thanks for posting JK.

Here's an extended set of cousins.

At the top are a set of CRKT Bud Nealy Pesh Kabz flippers, one 1/2 serrated, the other plain. (Bud does make his own version of a Pesh Kabz folder in limited supply... I'm on the prowl for one). On the bottom left is a Boker Bud Nealy designed Kwaito, and the bottom right is really a Nealy Pesh Kabz. I used to have the Boker Nealy Specialist Aikuchi as well, but didn't like the skeletonized handle so I "shipped it off to boarding school".

Thanks for posting MVG!

Okay, here's a Boker Plus family set, their kwaiken collaborations. You've seen the bottom one before, that's the Bud Nealy Kwaito. The one on the top is the new Lucas Burnley kwaiken folder.

Both have almost identical blade curvatures and side-on profiles, but the Nealy is flat ground while the Burnley is hollow, and has a nice swedge to make it look meaner.

Again, this thread is open to everyone to post "family" pics... I'm starting to run low... a few more sets in the next few weeks and months and that's it for me, so don't be shy!
