Relentless WSK?

I saw this one on fleabay last week. I am not exactly sure the seller knew what they had. I emailed her back and forth and she was 100% sure
Daniel M. Certo had made the knife, The grinds look pretty good and the serrations are very similar to the ones Dan puts on his knives. I am not too sure how well it would hold up to light chopping since it is a hidden tang, but the dang knife only went for a little over $60. I am going to email him to make sure this is his, but that is crazy if it is. I had a Tom Brown Tracker and sold it, and I have a custom WSK that I use quite frequently.

What do you guys think?

I quite like Relentless knives, not sure about that one with it being hidden tang but they do make some quite eye catching designs that are pretty tough from what I have heard !

Not quite my style, but you already know what you like. Quite a blend of tradition and new-design. Like you said, the stick tang on a 'beat me up' knife would concern me a bit.

The stick tang worries me, but Daniel has a great warranty. I am going to wait to hear back from him on its authenticity.

Stick tangs work well for Leuko's and swords so if it is properly made then I would not worry at all. I have chopped with hidden tang knives before and they all held up fine (mostly phillipino styles).

Thanks for the info. I wouldn't use it like an axe/hatchet anyways, just light chopping.

Got an email back from Daniel Certo. He did make this knife, and it is out of
L6 which was a nice surprise. I am a little shocked he made it. Not too bad of an investment for $64 I don't think. I think it would be fine for light chopping. Do any of you guys disagree?

That's a sweet piece, halfserrated. I'm a WSK fan, so I can easily say I like it! Now, this is just my opinion, but I'd say judging by the size of the piece, you'd probably only be able to get some light chopping action out of it. It looks like the blade may be 4"-5" long (correct me if I'm wrong; it somewhat hard to tell by the pics).

Again, cool piece, and congrats on your acquisition.

Thanks! The blade is about 6 inches, which is a little smaller than most WSK designs. I was hoping to get some chopping out of it. I will let everyone know how it performs.
