Hi all, I finished up these two new ones and wanted to show them. The first is a knife based on a bird skull, of a bird called "Spiderhunter". The steel is cable damascus, handle is copper with brass pins. The copper and some areas of the blade have been textured and everything is antiqued. Overall length is 5 1/8" with a 3 1/8" blade. The top of the blade (the swedge) is sharpened, bottom is not. This one is meant to be a letter etc opener and comes with a Lignum Vitae and copper stand. The wood has been textured. I have melted leftover pieces of the copper handle together to make the copper inset in the stand, the idea was for it to appear as if a piece of copper crashed into the wood and imbbeded itself.
The Kiridashi is in the Relic style, made from a Nicholson file with a piece of textured copper held on with brass pins. Handle is resin soaked Nylon wrap with brown Lizard skin underlay. The overall length is 5 1/4" with a 1 1/2" cutting edge. Hope you guys like these, both will be on the AVAILABLE page of my website.
