Remake of the Omega Man!

I've read the book and have the Vincent Price and Charlton Heston movies, like them all.

The Omega Man is kinda hokey, but fun to watch. Looking forward to the new film!

Omega Man, hmm, I forget what that one is about. It's not the one where they make people into food or kill you at 30 years old. Ohhhhhhhh he's the like the last dude on earth cept there's other people around and they're trying to kill him and he has a dummy named Snodgrass, yeah, that's it. They should be able to do a lot better with it nowadays!

I thought I implied that.

It was supposed to be funny. No? That's why I put the :p

At least we can safely say, no implication needed, that this is the first film version of "I am Legend" that shares the title of Richard Matheson's novel.

I just picked up a DVD copy of "The Omega Man." It's still one of my favorites, along with "Soylent Green."

I haven't read the novel. Is it worth the read? Or rather the attempt to find it?

The first movie version of 'I am Legend" - "The last Man on Earth" - is closer to the novel. The story involves vampire antagonists, rather than the mutant albinos of "The Omega Man."

It's been 20+ years since i've read it. From what I remember, it was a fairly enjoyable read.

I thought "the Omega Man's" approach of the mutants was better than novel's having the plague victims turn to vamiprism. Not only the turn to albinism, but the psychological effects - psychosis and religious fanatacism.

Thanks for the post i hadn't heard anything about this but it looks pretty good. ahgar

The people trying to kill him are zombies, And He's not the only one left, There are others.

I don't care what anybody say's It was a good movie.

I saw the one with Vincent Price and the one with Charlton Heston and liked them both. They were good, B-grade sci-fi/horror flicks. Both well worth the time to watch them. I'm looking forward to the Will Smith version.
