Hey everybody. I happened to glance at the TV Guide, and I remember enough postings about this guy here, that I thought I'd pass this along:

Dateline NBC

Desperate Days in Bluejohn Canyon
Six months later, Aron Ralston returns to the canyon where he was forced to cut off his arm after being trapped by a huge boulder.

(Needless to say, Check your local listings. It's on at 8pm, Friday, in Cincinnati Ohio.)

It's a two hour episode. Have popcorn on hand.

I was thinkin'. . .maybe. . .a 5-minute episode (witha buncha commercials).

Camera fades in with "Aron" in the foreground and boulder area in the background. Aron states, "Yep, I remember this place very well" (as he's waving his stump in the air). Camera fades to black. Insert 3 - 5 ads. . .


Of course, knowing the networks. . .they'll have to drag "his" story out, pain-stakenly ! We'll get to hear the stories about the first time that he picked boogers and ate them, first time he had self-sex, etc., etc., etc. :barf:

Is all of that sh*t. . . .really necessary ? :(
 
I wonder if he carries a better knife now...hard use my a$$. My GF kept saying,"that's so horrible-I can't imagine doing that". I said that I can't imagine dying of exposure and being eaten by vultures..
 
I caught about the last half, my folks taped it. It was pretty interesting, and really amazing to see how tough this guy is.

A bottle jack? I think not. Apparently it took thirteen men, a winch and a hydraulic jack to get his arm out from under the rock. :shock:

Do you watch SUper Dave Osborne? He did a stunt like you describe (comedy show), He whispered to the camera, "I'm in Watts and about to do the most dangerous stunt ever" HE pauses looks around, holds his head back and yells at the top of his lungs "N***ER!!!!!". He then gets ripped apart.

I don't know anything about the guy. But he's gotta be tough as nails.
Yeah dumb that he was alone. I used to go alone...hmmm
Had a crummy blade. was it a multi tool?
Dull if I remember.
Think of the will to live he has. Yeah he probably couldn't feel his arm as he hacked away with somethin I'd probably throw out.
But ballsy!!!
