Went down to Tennessee and did 13 miles of the Red River today.

An essential part of gear that goes everywhere with me. Always remember, color coordination is vital!

They had gotten some rain down there, so the water was stained but flowing well. You can tell in these pics.

I gave the kitchen help the day off so she could come along. As usual, she had a blast. That woman owes me bigtime :D

We stopped for lunch directly across from Bell Witch cave. Spooky stuff has happened there but nothing today. I had a Clif bar and a BK14 ready though just in case.

We paddled up a beautiful tree and bluff lined feeder creek until the shoals got too shallow.

Had to use my direction and leadership skills a few times..

And went under a cool old railroad "high bridge".

When we got to the take out, we were smack in the middle of the Bell Witch Bike Rally. We hung around a while, had a beer and listened to a pretty good band.
Got a few pics of what all was happening there but I'll have to post those somewhere else..:D

Was another great day on the water. Thanks for looking.

Looks like a real nice float Trade. Our rivers here are still to low due to the drought. But I'm hopin to get on it another couple times before it gets to cold.

Load up and come on down. We've got a few good ones down here and we'll do it up right.

Murph has talked about headin that way. Would love it. I think he's comin by tomarrow. I'll chat him up about it.

Man that looks like sooo much fun! I should of got a kayak when I worked at Bass Pro, I would have gotten 40% off. I had to quit though because I received an offer I couldn't refuse. What does a good kayak run these days? Hell I dont even know what brands to look for!

Great pics. Thanks for sharing. I went canoeing with a buddy not too long ago at Crystal River FL and we saw and proceeded to go over a large manatee... it just rubbed the bottom of the canoe so no harm done, but it was very cool nonetheless.

Sounds like a great way to spend the weekend with the wife. Wish I were there!

Wow, that's a cool river to ride. I love the old bridge. You guys back east have some great waters to navigate. Lucky dogs.

Thanks for sharing, Trade.

Looks like a good time this place is going to get crazy with the pro bike tour in state and the leadville 100 mile race going on a lot of people out having fun. Need to try the the river thing colorado has a lot going on summer and winter a very good place to live if you can avoid the crowds.

Trade those are beautiful pictures. Ive said it before but my favorite posts are always the ones where people share their local outdoors.

No kidding Mad! Im told spandex sales increase by 60% when that race is held. This weekend, especially this afternoon, will be a great time to avoid I70 at all costs!
