Here's Hoss and Little Joe. Hoss isn't quite done but getting closer to being finished all the time. Hoss was looking pretty lonely so I made him a companion, Little Joe...

Hoss was hand forged from a piece of 5160. The blade is 16 3/8" long with a total length of around 23" All the fittings on this knife are wrought iron. The handle came from a very large elk rack.

Little Joe started out as a piece of 1065. The blade on this knife is 8 1/4" with a total length of 13". I made the guard out of a piece of 1018 and the rest of the fittings are wrought iron. It has a Euro crown stag handle.

Raymond,
I really enjoy looking at your work. These are a really sweet pair. Not that I'd wanna tell Hoss or Little Joe they're sweet to their faces.

Great work as usual!

They look great, and have that 'look'. There is a flow to them that realy strikes me. Well done!

Way COOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!Ray.
Now that is the way to do it,a matching pair in different sizes,Man you just keep making them better and better.

Thanks for all the positive comments! I told myself that when these two were done I'd start on sheaths, well I started another knife yesterday right inbetween these two in size and the same style. Its all Bruce Evans's fault. He was suppossed to clean my shop when he was out here in January and never did and I've been using that as an excuss not to do my leather work.:D
