Just came on today to remember a genuinely nice guy and great forumite, Bruce (B.C.) Molin, who walked west on this day a year ago. Bruce lived in Australia, and I believe had more Montana elk antler on HI knives down under than probably still exists in the states!

He was a generous, soft-spoken, wonderfully considerate person, who loved his dogs and knives, so I just wanted to post something in remembrance of him today.

Regards,

Norm

Gone too soon.
May you rest in peace, my friend.
You are sorely missed.

There's a story about a man who reunites with all of his dogs after he dies, and then declines going into a glitzy "heaven" when they refuse entry to his dogs. He and his dogs are later welcomed at a nice place where it's explained to him that the other place might have looked like heaven, but was actually hell inside, for those who would abandon their pets.

When I recently read that story, I thought about Bruce and his dogs.

Deel, 1990 to 2004, a Dalmatian cross Australian Cattle Dog; once in your lifetime you get a perfect dog, he was mine, still so sadly missed:

Becky, 1995 to 2009, Auldbrig Belladonna was a pure breed Border Collie of immense sweetness, who had the ability to make me laugh at the toughest of times. Gone ahead, waiting for me to catch up with her:

Boyz Light Up (BLU) born February 14, 2005 is a purebred Rhodesian Ridgeback of great intelligence and stubborness, who for the last six years has not been parted from me for no longer than six hours. If you like big dogs but can't get out and exercise them regularly, pick a Ridgie, they are at their happiest in your company.

Bruce was a good guy for sure. I think about all the great guys we've lost, and it really brings me down. That said, i have a strong feeling we'll all be sharing a pint together in the great hereafter...pets are, of course, more than welcome.

Bruce has always been a fun guy around, be it khuks or dogs. Lad is one of the nicest guys to chat with.

Bruce was a great guy and wonderful to talk to about anything, I genuinely see him as a source of inspiration. I posted a photo of the obituary in the last thread, but I'm sure it will be a good read for anyone, whether they knew Bruce or not.
