This month is always difficult for me because my beloved husband, Uncle Bill and Rusty, a close friend and forum moderator, both died
within 12 hours of each other on March 28.

That day is definitely the saddest day of my life.

I know that both of them are looking down on us and are delighted to see that we are continuing to build HI and that I haven’t forgotten what
my husband started many years ago.

Please hold them both in your hearts and minds today so they will know we have not forgotten them. All of you forumites have helped me many times so that we could keep HI going and support the Kamis who make
our knives and swords. Uncle Bill would have been delighted to see the support all of you have given me, even on the rough days.

I thank you all and I know my husband does, too.

Peace to you, Auntie.
I knew there was a reason today felt like memory lane day.
Been thinking of fonder days myself this morning.

It is difficult to lose a loved one. I am glad that the people here have supported you. And you have supported us also by continuing the work of Uncle Bill. Both of you will live in our hearts.

Well Bill and Rusty, I'm getting a bit long in the tooth myself these days. I'll raise my mug of herbal tea to you, and chuckle at the concoctions you might be toasting with in otherworldly realms.

I never had the opportunity to meet either of these men, but reading about Uncle Bill and reading the things he had to say about why he started Himalayan Imports and the philosophy behind the company made me a fan of both him and his company. I am very glad that you, Auntie, have continued to run Himalayan Imports in a way which is true to the vision Uncle Bill established. Thank you.

Smoke and prayers.

I owe Uncle Bill and Rusty a lot. Never have two men I have never "met" changed my life so much. The business practices of HI, the kindness of all of those populating this forum have left a lasting impact on how I conduct my personal life as well as run my business.

It was an honor to know them.
