It's been 4 years since he's walked West. I really miss his great posts and sense of humor.

Please post some of your memories of him.

Thanks

Everything I learned about woodchucking, i gleaned from his post.

A true great of the cantina.

Walosi and I both had worked in textile factories. We affectionately called each other "lint head", a normally derogatory term for the mill workers. He and Yvsa taught me most of what I know about refinishing wood handles.
I miss him.
Steve

A very knowledgeable gentleman. I spoke to him once on the phone. I still miss him.

With Walosi and I both having Cherokee Blood and Cherokee Pride we became like brothers. I have never stopped missing my brother and friend and never will. We were both really looking forward to the day when we could meet in person but regretfully that day never came but it will someday.
The Cherokee language doesn't have a word meaning, "good bye" Our words are Donadagohvi for one person and Dodadagohvi for two or more persons and means roughly, "Until we see one another again."
or,
"Until we meet each other again."

Tru-Oil stock dropped 37% when Walosi passed.

:)

A very good man.

Thanks Ted for remembering dad. I didn't even see this thread til today. It doesn't seem like 4 years to me. I miss him. He would have been happy to see where I finally ended up, although the summer in Florida would have probably killed him outright :D.

I'll be going up on the mountain Xmas morning to say hi. I'll pass on everyone's thoughts.

Alan

He and Yvsa taught me most of what I know about refinishing wood handles.

Same for me. :(

I was finishing an M1 Garand with Walosi's techniques as well as fixing some cracked handguards with Yvsa's superglue method. It looks much better than it did when I got it.

Loyal customer and friend to HI and Kamis, we still miss him

I remember having a number of very good discussions with Walosi here on bladeforums, back in the day.

A kind and good man, helpful to anyone who asked for advice, and generous in spirit.

John

Can those of us who missed him, by chance, be pointed to some, "classic" threads?

Nicholas and the rest of y'all "registered users," you can do a search on Google for BladeForums.com by going to Google and typing in,
"Walosi in Bladeforums.com" for example. I just tried it and got several references to Walosi's posts.
Actually this is a good link it seems.... ;) :D

From what I understand you can do the same with any subject and any website as long as it's entered in a similar manner as I did.  :D

Thank you! This will make Google much more useful.
Alas, they sometimes direct you to the wrong page, so their technology may need some improving......
