I need some help here. I'm too new to collecting that I have no idea if these prices are ok...I found some Bullet knives new in the box for sale in a small lawn and garden shop..They have a 1992 for 52.99, a 1994 for 49.89, a 1996 69.99, 2001 63.79 and a 2003 for 59.89. Is there any one that is a good price or are they all bad or all good???:jerkit:

I'm not an expert but I see no one else has replied so..... I assume you mean the regular Bullet knives with the Delrin handles and not the Silver Bullets? The above prices seem in line with what I've seen at a few local shows and on Ebay. Mid 80's Bullet knives and Silver Bullets are worth considerably more. I think most were made by Camillus. Also, Bullet Knife posters bring more than the knives in some cases.

I'm not up on the new ones (1998+) but I believe they started using jigged bone or other materials for the handles and they are quite a bit higher in price.

Someone that knows more, please jump in....

I'd watch ebay for ones you are interested in and see how much they end up selling for. Sometimes they go for more, but at times much less. As Messersmith mentioned. Often the posters will end up going for more than the knives.

Many, if not most of the 80's and 90's Remingtons were made by Camillus. I have found these to be good knives with the best, to me, being up through the early to mid 90's.

If you like them, then collect them and pay what they are worth for each particular speciman to you. If you are wanting to collect them primarily as investments then I'd look at something else. For everyone that sells on ebay for a high price, another bunch just sell for an average price.

On the ones you mentioned above, you might see if the shop would give you a better price, especially if you bought more than one.

That may not be a lot of help, but that's my dos centavos worth.
