Remington FY3 Big Yeller Knife

Found a NIB "Remington FY3" yellow handled lock back ... bought it! This knife locks up very tight and took a really great edge. Who can tell me where and when it came from? Tang says "Remington" in a circle with "Made in USA" outside that circle

Have not done the vinegar test yet but this seems like it might be stainless. I'm going to speculate that this was made in the late 90s. As I said in my OP - this took a wicked sharp edge!
