My roommate and I went to Cabela's Sunday and this is one of my toys I came home with. It was original $49.99 but was on sale for $24.99. I just loved it and had to have it. It's a green and black bone mini toothpick. I got my roommate the same color remington but she got the pen knife. It's made in the USA and seems to be a great knife. Let me know what you think. Thanks everyone.

In the package {Notice Made IN USA at bottom.}

Is the blade steel 440a? I have found it to be a great steel that holds a good edge and is easily sharpened. It is usually found on many of the Chinese made knives and not well loved by many folks. Looks like a very well made knife.

Hmmm I wonder who they contracted to make them? I am glad they are made here in America though. Always a good thing.

I believe that those are made by Bear & Son in Alabama

Nothing wrong with that. Bear & Son make some good knives.

That's a sweet looking knife Knife Crazied. That green color really stands out plus it is the primary color for all of Remington's printed matter etc.. You might say that green is the mascot color for Remington.

I really liked it from my first view of it. It fits nice in my hand. I love the color and look of the handle material. It seems to be a great little work horse. :D Its also made in the USA and that is great.:thumbup:

That's a nice looking knife. Any chance of an in hand picture for some idea of size?

I love long nail nicks!:thumbup:

I just bought one of these US made Remington knives for my ex who has decided she wants to start collecting. I was rather disappointed personally. Fit was rather shoddy, it was about as sharp as a butter knife, tang stamp was off center and almost illegible. I really felt the Rough Riders I own are of better quality and this was way below the quality of the Chinese Colts.

Knife Crazied -

How big is your knife collection all together?

am i the only one who thinks traditional knives should come in traditional packaging? it just seems wrong to have a slip joint in a clamshell.

Covered this pretty good in my thread about the Buck 110 I bought that was in a Clam Shell. Turns out that many stores are doing away with knife display cases and want products packaged so they can hang them from a hook in the sporting goods department.

Well it seems to be BETTER quality then any bear and sons I've held. I think it was a great bang for my buck. I like it so thats all that matters. ;)

Well...you did ask everyone what they thought in your first post. ;)
FWIW I think you got your money's worth. Like other Bear & Sons knives...they seem to be hit or miss. I'm glad you got a good one.
