So I was getting stuff ready for our archery season in a week or two and came across this old Remington I have had for ever and forgot I had. Does anyone know who made it and what years they made these. It’s actually a really sweet hunting knife. Has a great grip and good blade size. Took a magnet down the whole handle and it seems to be a full tang under rubber.

Oh it’s USA made too. Some reason I wanna say someone told me Buck made these but I have no idea.

Steel is 440A, made by Camillus in the 90's - early 2000's for a bunch of brands they owned or did contract work for - Western, Remington, a few patterns for Cold Steel. You can find them with orange or black handles handles usually, occasionally green. They also did a few runs with teflon coated black blades.

Edit - go to page 19 to see most of the patterns - http://www.collectors-of-camillus.us/Catalogs/1996-Camillus-Catalogs.pdf .

Cool to know the handle is kraton as well. It’s very ergonomic and comfortable. I just got done sharpening it on the edge pro and came out nasty! Will carry it this year for sure.

They're good knives, I always liked the handle on them, really good for wet or slimy work.

Yes I agree. The handle is really nice. If it had a better steel it could be the perfect hunting knife imo. Size and comfort and blade shape are spot on.
