So i was out hitting the pawn shops today , found this little beauty and i just had to give it a new home . Anyone know anything about it ? All i have been able to dig up is the tang stamp indicates years 1933-1935 which from my understanding is when remington was still producing their own knives under the u.s.m brand . Its in good shape for its age , springs still snap , both blades are wharncliff but the main one has had the fine tip snapped . The cover on one side has a hairline crack and the pins on that side have worn very thin .

My question is should i try to restore this knife or just leave it as is ? I was not planning on using it after i found out how old it is . Anyone willing to share some knowledge? Thanks

Neat find. Is there a pattern number on the back of the main blade? What is the length closed? The blades are a spear and pen that were reshaped by sharpening. The blades have been previously "cleaned". Here's a similar looking 3 5/8" Remington R1873.

Very cool , my second pre ww2 slip in the collection ;) thanks for the help supra , i sure would like to have a case of them for 12 dollars now but of course that would be like 1500 in todays money .
