remington pattern number r-6

hello;

new to this forum and not sure if i'm at the right place for this question. anyone know of a remington pattern number r-6? it's a fixed blade hunting type knife. trying to determine the type of steel used in the blade? thanks for any input.

More than likely, it's Camillus made like the folding Remingtons and will be 440A stainless. I have a buddy who collects Remmys and he's looking for an R-6 fixed, hard to find.
