Hello all, This may be a dumb question but i just got as a gift the Remington Zulu 2 folding knife. The blade has some blade play and i want to tighten the pivot screw but i am not sure how to do that. Does anyone know what type of tool i need to tighten the screw? Here is a pic of what the knfe looks like.

Hmm I'm not sure exactly what screw the pivot uses because it looks like the screwhead is on the other side of the knife. It's probably a torx which is the screw style that 90% of manufacturers use. If it looks similar to an allen head but has more of a star shape to it, it's a torx. You can get a torx set at Home Depot or any other hardware store. I've found that the Husky brand is the nicest and I haven't stripped one yet.

I just called Remington and they said I will need Beta Pilers. I hope those are not to much money. I will try and upload a closer pic of the screw.

Thank for the reply Unlce :)

Ohhh okay well in that case the side shown is the screw side. I was wondering if that was the screw style but I've never seen a knife that uses that type of head for the pivot screw.

Yeah I bought mine at home depot. Make sure its Husky brand, because most other torx sets are garbage.
