First I wish I could post a picture but my daughter borrowed my camera to take on a trip to the beach. I acquired an old Remington Character Knife yesterday that I am trying to figure out the approximate date on. It has a single clip point blade, steel liners and pins and very short cap and bolster. The presentation side (of coarse is synthetic) with a cowboy scene and Remington at the top UMC towards the bottom and three cartridges on the bottom the other side is black synthetic. The tang stamp indicates circa 1924 through 1933 according to this link http://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/rem ... mpings.php . There is no model number stamped on the opposite side or anywhere else for that matter. Although in good condition the knife does appear to be quite old. Could this knife be as old as the tang stamp indicates or, have they used this stamp more recently in some kind of reissue. Again sorry for no pictures and thanks for any info you may have.
