You're building an impressive collection of that pattern.

I've been trying myself to get some, but my luck has been bad. I've sent back 2 Schatt & Morgan File and Wire Mountain Men (ATS-34) -- one had what appeared to be a chip in the scale, another had an off-center blade. I'm about to return a Queen Carved Stag Bone Mountain Man because of excessive horizontal and vertical play in the blade. :( I think the pattern rocks, but I can't seem to find ones that satisfy me.

I've had one of those for several years now, its a good knife. I put a lanyard on it made out of camo paracord using a Reeve knot with a wooden ball on the end to make it easy to grab. With the lanyard it makes a nice backpocket knife.

Is the blade play an issue with many of the Queen and/or Schatt & Morgan Mountain Man pattern, cause I really , and I mean REALLY do like the pattern and have almost "pulled the trigger" several times on one. But if blade play is an issue.....................

Artsig, I really understand wanting one -- after reading the Tactical Knives story, seeing Caine's photos, and checking them out at online dealers, I was sold. I suppose I may be expecting too much for the price -- I'm being very picky.

The lockup on both of the Schatt and Morgan knives was rock solid with absolutely no play whatsoever. Only the regular Queen has play.

I'd be interested in hearing from Caine and others.
