Camillus made a series of reproduction Remington sheath knives in the classic RH series, 90's to about the end. Does anyone know if these are in stainless or carbon steel? Or does it vary from year to year and model to model? I have seen several of them at a knife show locally and also on ebay and the price is very attractive.

They were all made from 440A Stainless.

The first was the gold etched commemorative that came with the wood display.
The other 3 just came with a leather sheath.

That must account for the low prices seen on these. The ones I have handled have been very nicely made. I was hoping for the same carbon steel used for the OVB line of bowie knives, which is as far as I know be the closest match to the steel used by Remington pre WW2.
