Guys and gals, I need some help. I have passed by an older Remington two blade jack so many times in the past year, without picking it up. I don't have any pics. The front 2/3 of the pen blade looks like it snapped off a long time ago. Heavy patina. The Remington logo is barely discernible. The main blade has a half stop, and the scales, while heavily worn, are still secured in place. I would like to pick it up, just to have an original Remington. After almost an entire year, from when I first started visiting the flea market it rests at
, it has lain there. I only know a little bit about old Remingtons. I'm not looking at it for value, or even carry. Just want it because it is an original Remington.
I think. The logos look like the original Remington logos. Not sure of the exact model number. I seem to remember hearing that Camillus, in the 80's and 90's; and then Bear and Sons after Camillus folded, were not the only U.S. Remington manufacturers out there. Again, I seem to remember hearing that they were assembled from old parts in the 60's, and maybe manufactured by another company through the late 70's.
The only reason I want this old workhorse is because of the history behind the knife.
