Just a quick question... are the Remington yellow handle series (RY- 1 thru 6) made by Camillus? Thanks in advance...

I asked a similar question of Will today on the phone. He told me what nice weather they were having in Camillus land.

Believe there are contracts requiring secrecy, so the answers to such questions are not likely to be forthcoming.

Bugs3x,
Sorry if there was a misunderstanding....there are some companies that I can disclose.

Folks,
This is one time I CAN talk about knives we make for other companies. Yes, CAMILLUS cutlery make all of the REMINGTON knives. We have an excellent relationship with REMINGTON and they don't mind a bit if we tell folks we make their knives.

A large part of the knives we make @ CAMILLUS are for other companies kife lines, with their names on the blades. Most of the time, these companies do not want us to discuss this with anyone else, and we of course respect their wishes. I understand that their is alot of speculation out their about who we do make product for, but I hope the memebers of bladeforums understand that I can't talk about it. I can mention Remington, Sears-Craftsman, and of course the BOY SCOUTS, as we have permission from them to make this knowledge public.

Thanks for your interest!

Thanks, Will. I would be proud to have Camillus make my knives. Bernard Levine mentions in his book(s) how some people may collect a certain brand of knife for many years, and be really upset to find that said firm had never, ever actually constructed a knife. I'd just as soon that Remington devote all their resources to making fine firearms. Appreciate the answer.
