Has anybody used Remmington's "Bore Brite" gun cleaner? Picked up their $35 cleaning kit for $10 on close out (not that I needed it, but what the heck). Anyways, I know there isn't much love lost for their RemOil, although I gotta image its as good as your basic hoppes, but I haven't heard too much about their bore brite cleaner.

Haven't used it yet although I was going to yesterday, just used #9 like always for the cleaning. I did take it out and it looks feels and smells like WD40? I'm guessing their cleaner is just some stoddard type solvent and mineral oil?

I haven't used Bore Brite, but have used BC Gun Scrubber, which I like a lot. A word of caution if you haven't used bore specific cleaners- I wouldn't let it get in contact with either the plastic, blueing or wood finish of your gun unless it is stated as safe for those finishes. The Gun Scrubber is potent stuff and will about knock you out if not in a ventilated room.

I like the Gun scrubber but like you say I make sure it does not come anywhere near plastic.I have not noticed it hurting bluing at all but it destroys plastic.I would not chance it on wood either.
