Getting cabin-fever working from home due to the Covid situation, so I decided to add some scales to the Remora.

I used scales from a BK11 and shaped them to fit the Remora. I used the BK11 hardware, but had to shorten the screws a few mm. Drilled the lanyard hole to line up with the existing hole in the Remora handle.

Scales were dyed black with Rit clothing dye.

Cool that it worked!
idk the center distances were the same? Good job.

The Remora doesn't actually have holes in the handle, more of a skeleton-type thing with big open spaces so there was no issue in aligning the screws as there was nothing to align to!

Ugh.... I Should of known that.... except I don't have one of those buggers. ;)

Great idea! The Remora is a tiny knife and giving the handle some width can actually create a "useful" piggy-back knife for a 4, 7, 9, or 21 (20 and 29 are in there, too......just a little more difficult to source, these days).

A 30% larger Remora would be cool with that hole moved to behind of the ricasso as a mounting point and some Micarta from Ka-Bar for us people who: 1.) are lazy, 2.) have no time, 3.) don't want to grind/sand Micarta, or 4.) claim all of the previous reasons for not doing it.

Well, I can’t figure out how to post pics on this new layout but I’ve posted my antler handled remoras several times.
To date, probably my most used Becker lol. I made a small pocket sheath and carry it daily in my man purse, holds a razor edge and touches up super fast and easy.
The OP remora looks fantastic! A handle really transforms this great little blade in my opinion.
Maybe this works:
