Anyone here own a Remote controlled Helicopter?? If so what model and what do you think?? I have wanted one since I was a kid and I am thinking about skiping a knife purchase or two and getting one. But I want to make sure I get a good one. Let me know what you guys think

I only know of a guy who owned one, he said the first time he tried to take it up it came right at him!

From my extensive flightsim experience, I know that choppers are difficult beasts, you have to control a number of different parameters at once. Good luck- be prepared to buy parts.

Yeah, I have been doing some reading on them today, I guess its a good thing I didn't get one when I was younger. They since have made allot of improvements and I will stock up on parts just in case. What really had me thinking about it today is some dude out across the street from me was running his gas powered remote controlled car today and that sucker was FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean like 90MPH fast  and it reminded me of a childhood dream :)

 Hey, I want to start out with the SUPER DELUXE model with electronic opening cargo door to drop stuff out of it, wireless night vision camera, silent mode, etc... :D

I searched on Ebay and the couldn't find one high end enough. Since I have craved this for over 20 years, I really want to go all out bank breaking crazy on this one.

I wish!!! My brother did the Blackhawk thing in the Army and I can't be more jealous!! I used to take a Chopper to work. Does that count?? :D

I was talking about somethin' like a Busse Battle Mistress or similar. I don't know what you were talkin about:confused: :D . Seriously, isn't there a forum that talks about this stuff?(ex: RCChoppersforums.com) Maybe you can find something there. Good luck with your search!

Just joined that last forum you posted and WOW, they have some cool stuff. My wallet jumped out the window and made a break for it.

They have dudes there that work for the National Inquire flying Helicopters around with cameras filming Celebraties in there homes and stuff like that:eek: and other guys that film commercials for a living using these things. I am very excited.

Check this out

I may have to use this set up and deloy my super duper BadGuy Heli at Next Years blade with a video camera to seek out the knives I am after in a swift manner:D

I watch a lot of that flyin' stuff on the tube, some time ago they had a segment on the future of flight; went into the work being done on mini-size spyplanes.

Quite scary, if neat from a tech standpoint. Little dudes hardly bigger than your hand, powered by a tiny electric motor and a couple of lithium batteries, and capable of carrying a CCD camera and transmitter.

The guy was saying that they were thinking bug-sized machines, literally hardly larger than a large dragonfly. Hear that buzz- might be big brother....

Imagine a hand-sized flying machine with a CCD camera, the body of which is sheet C4.... quite the assasination weapon.

Yeah I was reading about these last night. I guess they offer allot more control in flight. I am still after something with more options available. Like I said, I want to go all out. But I might get one of those for my son when he gets alittle older, so he doesn't have to wait 20 years like I did :D

Did you look at the Draganflyer X Pro? That will carry a pound of attachments. You should be able to add almost anything you want with that flexability. It's only $5k!

But with the nine channel radio you could probably rig a servo operated one pretty easily. I know I could.

BTW, I was by Santana's on Thursday...:)
