Vince, Have a question for you. What is the design point for the spring force on the remote release? Mine measures 3/4 Lb on a Wagner Force Dial. This seems kinda low to me. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but mine and at least one other person I talked with had theirs come off inadvertantly. Luckily we both noticed and did not loose the knife. But as a result, I haven't carried the knife much since then. Has anyone else expereinced this problem, or have a suggestion to correct? ( I have concidered a lanyard...) Thanks.

GK,
Yah, the springs are weak!! All of mine have popped loose frequently. I've gotten into the habit of looking around me before moving to a different location for lost equipment.
If I'm in a situation where (if dropped it's gone) I would lose it, I use a dummy cord.

Thax for the info, first we've heard. We'll look into it right away. (I assume you are speaking of the spring that holds the releaase closed, rather than the spring that holds the lock release)?

Sal, Thanks for the quick response, I am looking forward to the results of your investigation. Yes, it is the release spring that I am concerned about. Since the release is exposed, a slight brush of the arm or against any fixed object can open the latch. The 3/4 lb force was to fully retract the release, so much less force is required to retract it partially, yet still have the knife come off unintentionally.
