I always liked the "Remote Release" better than I did the "Snap It" model. I always thought the the RR was much easier to operate and you could access it quicker than the Snap it. Those older AUS-8 Spyders are not showing up nearly as often as they did even a couple of years ago.

The re-release of that model however didn't seem to take off as well as expected from what I was told. I believe that 2001 was the last year for the AUS-8 model.

When was the re-release? I always liked the Remote Release, but never picked one up.
