I want to make a leather sheath with a firesteel loop for a bushcraft knife, but I want the loop to be removable so I can use different sizes of firesteels with it. All of the kydex sheaths I've seen attach the firesteel loop with chicago screws, making them easy to swap out, but the leather ones I've seen have all been integral. The obvious choice is to attach the loop to a leather sheath with chicago screws, but I'm wondering if there is a better way. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chris

I used Ranger bands a few times and it worked well. Plus in an emergency you can use the ranger bands as tinder to get a fire giong in damp weather

My first thought was to use Chicaco screws, but I can see where the ranger bands would be a simpler but just as effective option.
