Remove a forced patina

I forced a patina on a becker bk11 but don't like how it turned out. Is there a way to remove it and start over again without damaging the knife?

I would recommend using a scotch bright pad....will take the patina right off and leave a nice hand rubbed finish:thumbup:

Just the basic Scotch Brite pads you get at walmart? the green ones?

ya those be the ones.... you can also go to your local wood craft shop and they have a similar thing but they are more durable and have different coarses

Green is coarser than the brown ones, finish with the brown, and you can use really fine wet/dry sandpaper(2000+ grit) for a polished finish.

Yup they work wonders!

Flitz polish works very well in most cases and it's not abrasive.
