so while disassembling a Delica, i ran into a problem: the body pin screw running through the lockbar was way overtightened, and the T6 bit spun and stripped out the head. It's pretty hopeless at this point, i just want to get the screw out without damaging the rest of the knife as I have a spare. Any hints on this?

You can take a dremal with cut off disk, a make the torx screw into a flat head screw with a smal cut straight down on the head of the screw.

This is what it will look like when done:

I had to do it to my Caly3 after I attempted to adjust the pivot screw that was put in place, unbeknown to me, with a Loctite substance and I stripped the Hex screwhead.

Thanks Supmonkeyface! I wasn't sure if the photo was seen by others or not.

That cut (hack job) is not a pretty fix but it works for now.

Yeah i've had to do this on many parts from crappy knives(Nothing like a caly3ZDP though.). The steel in those screws is probably around 2RC. :D

My endura has the same problem. The lockbar screw (closest to the pivot screw) is stripped, even though the other ones work fine. I don't think it was overtightened, but rather it might have something to do with the pressure and tension exerted on it by the lockbar. As long as I can still take the blade out to clean it, I guess it doesn't bother me too much.

What kind of file can I use that's thin enough so that I can use a screwdriver on it? I have a ruined clip screw on my Endura.

get a set of reverse drill bits or left handed bits and get the size that fits into the hex head. Then with your drill in reverse slowly drill it. It should start backing the screw out. Hope this helps if you didn't already fix it.

A stripped torx bolt head should be able to take a hex rench with out any mods needing done.

If it wont quite fit a few love taps should seat it in
