Remove black anodized coating from hardware

All,

I have a ZT 0566 with black hardware (screws, pivot screw, stand-offs). I'd love to turn some of these silver to match the metal side of the knife. While I know I can buy some titanium hardware in silver already, I just can't justify the cost.

Any tips on removing the back anodized coating from all of the hardware?

Thanks!

Bead blast the anodizing off, it will leave it ready for polishing for the shiny silver look you want.

Sodium Hydroxide [Drano] will remove the anodized material.

I doubt those parts are anodized. Generally, they are steel, and steel can't be anodized. That leaves bluing (oxidation), paint, or nitride coating of some sort.
You can abrade 2 of the 3 off with wet/dry sandpaper (maybe even the third!)

A green Scotch Brite pad worked wonderfully to remove the coating from all of my hardware. Left it sort of satin finished. I then "polished" the hardware with a small stainless wire brush, which also allowed me to get in to the torx head and clean some of the coating from there as well.

Anyone know the size (size and pitch) of the pivot screw on this knife? Looks to be a 6-something, though the pitch is much, much finer than 32. I'd like to replace it with more of a Hinderer-style slotted screw in place of the bubble-style torx screw.
