Remove Chiruwa Handle

Hey guys,
Im bored and have a ugly chiruwa handle I want to replace. It isnt exactly what I imagine I want and love the blade.

Now the only question is How?

I know there were tutorials on all this once, but I cant seem to find them.

Do I grind off the keeper then drill out the rivets?

Also, any pics of mods to Chiruwa handles you have done would be awsome!

Well, I have removed the handle and used a chisel and file to clean up the smelly gunk underneath it all. Time to start grinding it to the shape I desire later on today.

Dan Koster's site has given me alot of ideas.

Hmm...perhaps I need to upgrade my account and take pictures as I go?
