I was wanting to know if there is any way to remove scratches from the bolsters on my "NIB" case trapper. I bought it and when I got looking at the bolsters in better lightning I seen a whole lotta scratches and some appear deep. I was told with sandpaper and flitz but how would that work. Any and all opinions wanted and appreciated. Thanks

I use a Dremel with the Dremel felt sharpening wheel and even the reddish polishing compound that came with the Dremel kit. The polishing kit was 13 bucks at Home Depot and I've seen the generic Dremels as Harbor Freight for as low at 8 bucks.

This setup keeps all my bolsters shiny and I can't see any scratches when I'm done.

+1 for Rayban on holding on if you're going to try it on a large buffer wheel. Not me...

I've gotten great results with red compound/rouge and a piece of leather mounted to a board, also great for stroppin' the blade.
