Remove surface rust??

Hi Gang! What would be the best way to remove light surface rust without desturbing the metal much

Dremel buffer/polisher and some chromium oxide (CrO) which you can get at almost any hardware store/depot.

Would use bronze wool as opposed to the steel wool as it's less abrasive.

I use 0000 steel wool and WD 40. Steel wool is not hard enough to hurt a knife blade. Bronze wool is fine, but is harder to find.
A Dremel with buff/compound can over-polish, and change the look of the knife.
Simichrome and Flitz will work well, but do some polishing of their own. Steel/bronze wool will only attack the rust, not the blade finish.
