Removed the flipper from my Vantage Pro

I got a Vantage Pro a while back. I liked the knife a lot, but didn't care for the flipper. I guess I'm a thumbstud/thumb hole kind of guy. Also, I didn't like the way the flipper made it look. So I took the dremel tool to it, finishing up with a file and then some emery cloth. Turned out very nice. Now I am REALLY loving this knife! See pics below.

Yes it did turn out nice. Do you find the hole adequate for opening? I tend to use the flipper.

Yes, the hole works pretty well for me. I have almost exclusively knives with thumbstuds, so holes don't feel as natural, but I've gotten pretty good with it.

I use the flipper, too. I have a small one and a large one. I flip them both. Anyone try one of those screw on thumb studs on one of these. I have some, I'll try that.

OK, just tried it out. I don't care for the thumb stud on the little one, although, it does make the blade deploy and lock up faster--must be the extra weight. I'll continue to flip that one. On the larger one--wow, thumb stud is nice. Much easier to work then the hole with fat arthritic fingers and when you flip it, BOOM, it's there. Hmmmmmmm

That does look clean without the fipper but I like the flipper myself so I'll deal with the looks.

That looks really nice without the flipper. I'm left handed so without
the flipper it's a bit more of a problem getting the blade open with
much quickness with about half the whole covered up. It can be
done fairly easy, but not very quickly.
Looks nice though.
Regards Sonny

I like the lines without the flipper, but I use mine way to much to take it off!
Thanks for the nice pics!

Anyone notice some come with Buck pad printed on blade and some come without it...?

Yep, I got at least one like that. I gave it to my friend and kept the one with the logo. I have another 4 that I bought but haven't opened the clamshell to check for logos.

The knife does look nice without the flipper. I may have to get my dremel out...
