Removing 1 thumbstud on BM940?

Anyone tried removing just one of the studs on the BM940?

I have a blue-handled one that I quite like, but that "wrong" stud has GOT to go. I'm concerned that it might be screwed into the other one. I don't want to muck with it if I can't take only one off after all.

They're screwed into each other.

Now, whether one of them is also threaded into the blade itself, I don't know about that. I don't think that is the case.

They are screwed together like a nut and bolt. Also, you need two torx screwdrivers of the same size to loosen them up.

Guys, I don't think you're supposed to tinker with th elocks or screws or anything else around them. If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Rather pass your suggestions on to BM for possible introduction into future runs...

I just wish more manufacturers would think about reverseable / removeable studs.
