Removing Dips In Sharpening Stones?

any tricks of the trade for removing the dips and dives you get in sharpening stones?

A coarser stone will do it. Preferably a coarse diamond plate...

I bought a Norton lapping stone for 25 bucks from Tools for Working Wood. I'll let you know if its any good! Until then you can use a cinderblock I think.

I have heard of people using abrasive paper on a plate of glass or a surface plate, but I never tried it. Personally, I would use a diamond stone.

I use this method on my EdgePro stones.Ben Dale says to do it this way.:thumbup:
It works.
A coarse diamond plate would probably work as well or better.
