Recommendation? Removing drive wheel help

I got a new motor and vfd for Xmas, but I can’t get the drive wheel off my old motor…removed the Key thing and the little screw with a hex key but the motor won’t budge? Any tips?

A) Get a new drive wheel. B) Get a gear puller.

I used a gear puller to get mine off in same situation. Harbor freight has relatively cheap ones.

Kroil, heat, gear puller & patience. The first one I ever removed (it was on there for years) I damaged.

If it is stuck even with a puller, dry ice.

I hope you get it off without damage. When you reinstall it on the new motor, smear some anti-seize (e.g., Permatex 80078) on there, your future self will thank you for it one day.
