Removing etchings from blades ?

This is probably a real simple/obvious question, but I'd thought I'd post it anyway in case there's something unforeseen that I should be aware of. Unfortunately, I admit to sometimes starting simple jobs & later finding that I should have done something different, & actually made the situation worse than when I started. - - Ive got a Great Eastern Cutlery trapper that I really like. Its a beautiful knife. The one thing I don't like on it is that there are etchings on the blades. (Company name & knife model number). I'd like to remove them. They look great when new, but I like to use my knives and already after a short time the etchings are getting dinged up. With more day-to-day use they'll start looking pretty bad. The blades have a brushed finish & are 1095 carbon steel. I'd like what ever method would look good but take as little time/effort to do as possible (am crunched for time right now). Any suggestions ? Thank you, - - -

to get it to look right i would expect to just have to refinish the knife, you have to remove enough metal to get through the etching (or i guess you could etch the whole blade but not sure how well that would work out). it may be hard to get it to stay that finnish but enough effort will get it there eventually

Thanks Matt - I appreciate it.
A guy on another forum took the same model knife and just did a dark patina on the carbon blade. Looked real good. I'm checking to see what he used and how to get it to look like that. Regards, - -

You could also get a simple dremel from wally world and use a bristle that is meant just for carbon steel blades. It polishes them right up and looks great. I have one for my stainless knives too, of course that is a seperate bit. They will look identical, only one says for carbon steel, and the other says stainless steel.
